In the south aisle beside the main south door.

Behind this small door is a difficult to negotiate
steep and narrow stone staircase leading to the
now disused chapel of St. Michael and St. George.

In the chapel ceiling is a trapdoor leading to the roof -
much used by 'fire-watchers' during air-raids in the
1939-1945 war.

Access to the chapel is restricted and is
by special permission only.
